That Girl

Where is that girl I knew, so giving of herself,
When she was caring about, those she?s putting on a shelf.

Listen to the melody which comes from the heart,
Of those that could be close, weren?t you pulling apart.

Knock off the remarks, and be your own,
Your not impressing anyone, this you?ve been shown.

If you?d put forth the effort, to others that?s due,
You?d find all the happiness, returned to you.

When people help those, willing to help themself,
The return is far more, than just common wealth.

The ball it?s in your court,
I?d think twice before cutting myself short.

These friends of yours, you have their ears,
But when it counts, will they be near?

The life you?ve lived, so full of trouble,
Will only be cleared if to break the bubble.

So take hold of all that?s worsened,
And apply it to realizing your a better person.
